Guidelines for presenters

Below you will find the information you need to finalize your presentations

SPEAKER PRESENTATIONS
Oral communications

Presenters are strongly encouraging to upload presentations to the Speaker Ready Room prior your session.

Speaker ready room is located at main floor (P), Hall C6.

An audio-visual technician will be available to assist with your presentation.

Speakers are asked to visit the Speaker Ready Room the day before their scheduled presentation or at minimum 2 hours in advance of their scheduled session start time.

The Speaker Service Desk and Ready Room will be open to assist you every day during the congress days starting one hour before the first presentation and till the end of the scientific program of each day.

Technical information:

• Ensure your slides are 16:9 ratio;
• It is mandatory that all presenters prepare a disclosure slide as the first slide in their presentation . If you have nothing to disclose, this slide must be included indicating “nothing to disclose”;

• Only Power Point presentation will be accepted. All the PC will have Office 365 installed (PowerPoint 2016);
• Use a common font type (such as Arial, Veranda, etc.) as special fonts might not be available;
• Insert pictures as JPG (not TIF or PNG) in order to keep image quality and small size;
• Insert videos as AVI, MPEG or WMV (not MOV) as QuickTime and other file types tend to run errors;
• Always bring a copy of your slide set with you on a flash memory drive.

Allocated time for each speaker:

Plenary and Keynote sessions:

• 1 speaker: 25 minutes’ lecture. 5 minutes of questions /discussion.

 Concurrent Sessions

• 3 speakers: 20 minutes’ lecture for each Speaker. 10 minutes of questions /discussion at the end for all 3 speakers
• For “special cases” of more than 3 speakers: The session organizer is usually the Moderator for this session, so there should be prior communication with the moderator about the session flow.

Abstract accepted as oral presentation

is allotted 10 minutes: 8min for presentation and 2 min for questions

POSTER PRESENTATION

Format and Content of your poster
Poster dimensions should correspond to portrait DIN A0 format.
Dimensions are: 1189 (height) x 841(wide) mm

The poster boards will be arranged in topic groups and ordered by poster numbers.
The posters of distinction will be marked accordingly. All materials needed to fix the posters will be provided onsite at the Poster Desk located in the C1 Hall – Conference Secretariat Office.

Please print your poster on common materials, as e.g. usual paper in order to easily fix your poster on the panel,.
The poster has to be prepared in English, the official language of the congress.

Your poster must contain a declaration of Conflict of Interest in the summary of the poster.

Please be aware that it is not allowed to include any commercial logo.

Set-Up and Dismantling of your poster
Set-up: Thursday, 8 June 2017, from 08:00
Dismantling: Saturday, 10 June 2017, by 14:00
Any posters not removed by this time will be lost.

All presenters of a poster of distinction should stand by their posters during this session in order to present their poster and to talk with other participants about their work. They will be visited by poster chairs during the session that will be glad to involve all presenters and delegates in an interactive discussion about the posters.

European Accreditation

The 8th Europediatrics Congress jointly held with The 13 National Congress of Romanian Pediatrics Society' is designated for up to' 20 hours of European external CME credits. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. The EACCME credit system is based on 1 ECMEC per hour with a maximum of 3 ECMECs for half a day and 6 ECMECs for a full-day event.

American Medical Association (AMA)

Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Information on the process to convert EACCME credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme

Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognized by the UEMS-EACCME for ECMEC credits are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of The Royal College of Physicians and  Surgeons of Canada. For more information, visit: www.royalcollege.ca Credit Breakdown

Each participant should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity:

TO RECEIVE YOUR CME/CPD CERTIFICATE 

The CME/CPD certificate will be available after completing the online evaluation and credit claiming procedure. The process takes about 5 minutes. Your feedback as it is an important part of CME/CPD accreditation and helps improve future educational offerings.

The online evaluation form will be reachable on the congress website https://www.europaediatrics2017.org   together with the credit claim form, between June 15 and December 15 2017.
